The Problem
For dentists who use photostimulable phosphor (PSP) plates for X-rays, the plates get damaged over time causing artifacts on the X-ray image. The problem is knowing when to discard and replace the reusable plates since there lacks a standard protocol.
How We Solved It
Our software identifies and grades when the plates should be replaced by giving an accurate prediction of whether the plate damage will affect image interpretation.
